Your First Visit

What to Expect

New patients should expect a warm, positive, and energetic feeling when entering our office. Once you sign in we will offer you a beverage of your choice. You can expect to spend approximately 10 minutes filling out the required medical paperwork (these forms can be found on our website under the Office Forms tab on the homepage). Please don’t forget your insurance card and form of identification as it is required by law to file your insurance. Once you have finished your paperwork we will offer you a tour of our office and give you some pertinent information about our office and procedures.

You will then be taken to the examination room to be evaluated by Dr. Crosby. The forms you just completed will be discussed, followed by an examination. Once a diagnosis is reached treatment options will be discussed. Typically treatment is rendered on the first visit, but sometimes arrangements will be made to follow up the next day.

Action Plan

On your second visit we will continue to build upon the first visit. You will be given an “Action Plan” which will include:

  • What is causing your pain
  • How long will it take to fix
  • Education, Prevention, and Supplemental strategies

One of the most important things we emphasize at Atlantic Chiropractic is patient education and prevention strategies. Having pain is a scary and complicated, however when you have an understanding of the cause of your pain you will find it easier to manage. Please feel free to ask questions about your diagnosis and your care plan, and we’ll do everything we can to explain.
